Rachel Sabourin
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) under the CRPO, who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are — without judgement — and feel genuinely understood.
I completed my Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and English, at Wilfrid Laurier University. I went on to earn my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My educational background allows me to understand both the individual and the broader social systems that shape our experiences, as well as the power of language and personal narrative in healing.
I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, emotional dysregulation, anger, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and relationship or communication difficulties. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can be a space to build insight and meaningful change.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, family systems theory, narrative therapy, and solution-focused approaches. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional regulation skills, improve communication, and reconnect you with your values and strengths.
Above all, I strive to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and empowering — where growth happens at a pace that feels right for you.
